A conversation between me and Lauren today, Lauren- "Mom, can you get me a piece of toast with you know, like that yellow buttery stuff on it?" Me- "You mean butter?" Lauren- "Yeah, that's it."
i don't know. at my house we had an assortment of buttery stuff ( spray butter, margarine, yogart butter, butter buds...) But if you only offer the real stuff then i can see that this comment would be funny. how else would you describe butter anyways- it's just simply buttery.
