Temple Square

We went to Temple Square last night. Unfortunately, we didn't realize it was the huge Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert last night, as well, so the traffic and parking was crazy! We finally made it and loved spending an evening admiring the beautiful lights and decorations. We felt the spirit as we visited the Christus Statue - and then, true to form, we ended the evening making snowballs and pulling funny faces for the camera. We went out for doughnuts (for Mike, Ellie, Nathan) sherbet, (for Lauren) and peppermint ice cream (for me) - it certainly makes things more complicated with all of our dietary restrictions! We sang Christmas carols in the car the whole way home. It was so much fun - I love my family!

We're going tonight. It looks cold but beautiful. Was Mike to "cool" to wear a hat? :)

I'm glad you guys made it...it seemed like we would never get through the traffic but we did drive through lights on the way home and that was fun and warm! Everyone was starving from our excursion so we came home and had a roast beef and mashed potatoes late night snack!

I miss Temple Square!!! No where else can quite compete with the lights they have there!
