Poor Mike!! On Thanksgiving morning, he went to play ward football....need I say more? Mike dove to catch the ball and fell on his right shoulder. He could tell that something was definitely wrong, so he had our dear, sweet, wonderful bishop drive him to the Instacare. They took a look at him and told him to go the the Emergency Room. The X-rays showed that he had broken his collarbone into 3 separate and misplaced pieces! Nice. Mike is SO sore and swollen as can be. He will have an operation this upcoming week to get a plate and screws to hold his collarbone together. The worst part is, he didn't even catch the football!!! We had planned on a weekend of watching football, eating our guts out, and game-playing....not quite what we ended up with! This Thanksgiving, we are thankful for wonderful insurance, great medical care, a FABULOUS bishop who spent his holiday with us, and family and friends who have helped us so much this weekend!

Good luck with the surgery Mike! Em, hopefully you've had time for a shower :) Glad you have such a nice bishop. You probably saved him from injury by having him miss the turkey bowl :)
Wow! What an exciting Thanksgiving huh? That ER bed looks teeny-tiny-Mike looks like he barely fits...gotta love the ER! :) We are hoping Mike gets in sooner rather than later for his surgery. We need him feeling good so we can beat him at Cities and Knights!!! :)

Emily, your family is TOO cute. Very fun to see how your family has grown since we moved! Thank heaven for Kendra and blogs so we can keep in touch. :) Poor Mike. It's amazing how young our husbands pretend to be!!! :)
